Hello, I'm Elena, Founder & Lead Coach
I'm an English teacher, educator, coach, and lifelong learner.
For more than twenty years, I've had the privilege of helping adults build confidence through language.
What continues to inspire me isn't simply watching someone learn English.
It's watching someone discover the confidence to use their voice.
It all began with a love of languages.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in French and English and began teaching at the age of twenty.
From the very beginning, I knew I had found work that felt meaningful.
Over the years, I continued learning alongside my students, completing a Master's degree, studying translation, and constantly exploring better ways to teach adults.
But experience taught me something that no textbook ever could.
Learning English is never just about English.
The lesson my students taught me
Some women with excellent grammar were afraid to speak.
Others, with much less English, communicated confidently.
The difference wasn't vocabulary.
It wasn't grammar.
It was confidence.
It was emotional safety.
It was believing that their voice mattered.
That realization changed the way I teach forever.
Teaching became something more.
As I became curious about confidence and communication, I began exploring coaching, emotional intelligence, and self-leadership.
I invested in my own personal growth through coaching, extensive reading, and professional coach training.
The more I learned, the more I understood that language learning and personal growth are deeply connected.
Today, I know when to be a teacher.
And I know when to be a coach.
Sometimes my role is to explain grammar.
Sometimes my role is simply to ask the question that helps someone see themselves differently.
Why I created ComfyLearning
I wanted to create the kind of learning environment I believe every adult deserves.
A place where learning is intellectually challenging and emotionally safe.
Where mistakes are welcomed.
Where confidence grows before perfection.
Where women feel comfortable participating long before they feel "ready."
That's why I called it ComfyLearning.
Comfort has always been the beginning of confidence.
My philosophy
I believe every woman already has a voice worth hearing.
My work is not to give her a voice.
It is to help her trust it, strengthen it, and use it with confidence—in English and beyond.

Our Mission
I help entrepreneurial women in Quebec — especially those from Eastern Europe — who are losing business opportunities because of low English confidence. I help them become fluent, credible, and comfortable in English so they can attract English-speaking clients, grow their business, and show up confidently online and in face-to-face conversations.
