Becoming the CEO of My Own Life and Business (April–May 2026)

There are moments in life when you feel a shift — not loud, not dramatic, but deep and decisive.

For me, April and May 2026 mark the beginning of one of those moments. I made a conscious decision to step into a new role: to become the CEO of my own business. Not just in title, but in mindset, clarity, and responsibility.

I recently started working with Joanie Paradis — a young woman who is warm, kind, and deeply competent. From our very first meeting, I knew I was in the right place. We are working together on building a strategic roadmap for my company. Looking at every

aspect of it — not emotionally, not reactively — but with clarity and intention.

We’re identifying blind spots, we’re naming challenges, and we’re learning to think strategically.

And yet… the very first thing she asked me to do had nothing to do with business. She gave me homework:

·        What are the two achievements you are most proud of in your life?

·        And why are they important to you?

At first, it felt simple. But it wasn’t, because before we build something in the world, we need to understand who we are.

This is what I’m learning right now: leadership does not start with strategy, it starts with self-awareness, honesty, and the courage to look at your life and say: This is who I am. This is what matters to me. This is how I grow.

As I go through this process, I can already feel something changing in me. I am becoming someone who can build a business that is not only successful, but grounded, meaningful, and aligned. Because what I offer matters.

This journey with Joanie is teaching me to look at my work differently. More objectively.

To create a roadmap I can trust, to build clear action plans, and to understand where my time and energy truly belong.

I feel grateful that I am allowing myself to grow into this role. And I want to document this journey — not only as a business process, but as a personal one. Because becoming a CEO… is, in many ways, becoming a new version of yourself.

If you are also in a moment of transition, growth, or questioning…maybe this is your reminder:

Before you build anything, take the time to understand who you are.

Everything starts there.
